Yesterday I gained a new sister and had the privilege of photographing the event, as my brother-in-law Josh proposed to his lovely girlfriend (now fiance) Ashley. Josh planned an extravagant set-up and his mom & dad, brother (my wonderful husband), and our two rambunctious children met at the spot early to set up and prepare for their arrival. The location was along a beautiful walkway in SW Portland near the waterfront. The walkway was lined with trees, which Josh had planned to have photos of their special memories strung on. It was a rather beautiful sight to stand back and watch their photos floating in the breeze. We got the text that Josh & Ashley had arrived, so we found our hiding spots. Josh and Ashley walked, hand-in-hand down the path, stopping to look at different photos, laughing, and embracing. After several minutes of reminiscing, they arrived at the platform where Josh had arranged to have an archway with flowers lining it and a bouquet to hand Ashley awaiting them. The rest is history. After the beautiful proposal Josh had planned a family dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory on the waterfront where her parents and brother met us all for dinner. We are so excited for Ashley to join the family and had such a lovely time celebrating with these two.

I was so thrilled to have been able to collaborate with my good friends at Outlive Creative (check them out at http://www.outliveweddings.com/) to capture Ben and Lauren's special day! This wedding, much like this couple, is so full of life, love, friends, style, and a uniqueness that only Ben and Lauren can provide. These two so clearly adore each other. A huge congratulations to Ben and Lauren!
I was so thrilled to photograph this wedding! I was lucky enough to capture these two in their engagement photos approximately a year ago and have been looking forward to spending their wedding day with them since. This romantic family affair took place on the gorgeous grounds of the Abernathy Center in Oregon City and was a perfect blend of sentiment and party. The ladies all prepared for the big day by toasting champagne in the bridal sweet while I photographed the guys, as Candi and Tone decided not to see each other before the ceremony, building the anticipation. During the short and sweet ceremony, all were overcome by the clear love and emotion that Candi and Tone shared, and then everyone headed over to eat an amazing BBQ dinner and party in the tent. This was such a gorgeous day and a fun time. The amazing family and sweet kiddos made this day absolutely perfect! Congrats Candi and Antonio, and thank you for allowing to be a part of this lovely day!
Last Saturday was a pretty awesome day. I was lucky enough to begin my day photographing JP for his senior photos in some absolutely amazing Portland winter weather! I met JP and his mom a couple weeks earlier and as we discussed not only what they were looking for in terms of photos, but our interests, our families, our schools (JP is graduating from Franklin High School, my alma mater) I soon became very excited to be the one to capture JP's senior photos for him. He's an inspiring artist of all sorts and his mother is inspiring in her own right. JP knew he wanted shots with downtown Portland so we began on the east side of the Willamette River and then made our way to the iconic Mt. Tabor in SE Portland for a bit of a different look. JP was an absolute natural, i felt like I hardly had to do a thing! Here is just a handful of the many amazing shots from the day. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your senior photo experience, JP!
